Here is another installment of some Craigslist postings I found amusing. I post these so you don't have to wade through all the obscene, sexually explicit, or otherwise tasteless postings to look for the good, clean stuff. Note: some of the funniest posts at CL are obscene, sexually exlicit, or otherwise tasteless, so if you want to find that stuff, go looking at Best-of-Craigslist for yourself.

• To The Six-Foot Four Transvestite made me laugh out loud.
• Cat Found! The first photo did it for me.
• The loudest vacuum cleaner on the face of the Earth Too bad it's gone.
• FreeBSD Server I'm pretty sure you have to be a supreme geek to get most of the references, but it reminds me of the machine (with many replaced parts and a very loud fan) I have running Ubuntu right here in my basement.
• Dear Mr Scammer, I am sorry Nice move. When I'm retired, I want to do stuff like that all the time.

I'll try to remember to check out BOCL every once in a while and post some of my favorites. This is actually an edited list since I like to keep this blog no worse than about a PG-13 rating. I have some other favorites, but they are pretty raunchy.

My Best-of-Craigslist Favorites, Volume 1

Best-of-craigslist is really great stuff. I check in with it periodically, and am rarely disappointed.

• fun stuff for sale: Fixed Gear Death Trap
• a glimpse of a moment: To the guy sailing across Mission Bay with a porch umbrella
• funny stories: To the Boys Who TP'd My House Last Night
• poignant glimpses into a life: Please stop asking me if I'm pregnant
• advice/views from a different perspective: From Your Friendly Neighborhood Barista
• tales of bitterness: to the guy doing my wife
  

Note that several best-of entries are really, really raunchy. As long as you have a high raunch threshold, you should be OK. None of the links above are particularly raunchy (except for parts of the last one), but if you start looking at other entries, get ready for some nasty stuff.

best-of-craigslist provides me with a window into other places/views/lives that is really enjoyable. It's not always funny, but it's usually interesting. As a child of the suburbs, I need all the help broadening my horizons that I can get.
